"The WTF Moment"

Borrrowed from [livejournal.com profile] slashxmistress:

THIS is a really beautiful piece. It captures really well the harsh reality of the music business: it's a business, and the new, "hot" stuff will always sell better. But also, it shows how, no matter how long it's been, music can, and will, always touch people.

(Also, out of curiosity, did it make you think of anyone? I thought of MCR right away.)

heh, I thought of Ryan. But I do wonder how people/kids will react to the new MyChem stuff.

Yeah, I guess he works too. I was thinking of how MCR are now emo-rock "veterans", and not the wonders they were during The Black Parade. Ryan's starting over, in a sense, so his situation is different. He's cut himself off from that time.

That's true. But I think there's certain dignity in where MCR is now (even though they got rid of my Bob :(((( ) It just feels like, even if they don't make anything new, they went out on top.

Mind if I ask why? I'm not that on-top of TAI anyhow, so... Yeah.

Just how their popularity kind of waxes and wanes? One minute they're the darlings of the scene and the next minute they're shoved to the back.
Also of all the people I could have told - I missed my chance with Will- and I regret that (
