So, via [livejournal.com profile] shonagonchan's LJ, I have found the new writing analyzer tool. And abused it greatly.

According to this, [livejournal.com profile] behindthec writes like James Joyce (I used the PCCF for this one), as does [livejournal.com profile] wax_jism (via Nightswimming), and [livejournal.com profile] redorchids writes like H.P. Lovecraft (according to a Spyro I'm beta-ing for her).

So who do I write like?
I write like
Dan Brown

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

Apparently, my actual journal entries, non-fic-related stuff, makes me sound like a conspiracy theorist.

I write like
James Joyce

My vignette on Gerard and Brendon's roles as frontmen sounds like a literary classic.

I write like
Margaret Atwood

I don't know who she is, but my Glamaswan piece sounds like her.

I write like

How does a style-emphasized Swangoose piece sound like him? And why have I gotten him twice?!

I write like
Chuck Palahniuk

My quick little Adommy sounds like Chuck Palahniuk. That is awesome.

I write like
James Joyce

Once again, a Frerard piece sounds like a literary genius.

I write like
Margaret Atwood

And my fics overall? This woman again.

Try it and pimp it out to your friends!

ETA: Looking at the pieces which earned the comparisons, I just realized why [livejournal.com profile] behindthec[livejournal.com profile] wax_jism, and I (possibly) all got James Joyce. Each writing sample used was written in present tense. Hmm.

Margaret Atwood wrote The Handmaid's Tale. I read it in high school and I really liked it. It's about a dystopian society where the US has turned into a theocracy and each person dresses as their certain roles. Birthrate is low so they have ~special ways of producing children for certain privileged families.

Sounds really interesting; I'll look her up. Is her writing good?

Yeah. I think so, at least. It's why I try to always have some cash with me and don't rely solely on my debit or credit cards since it's a part of how the theocracy takes over.
